We took an unexpected summer hiatus, but the Chic & Awe duo is back, and just in time for our favorite season too!  Here are a few of our favorite things this fall...

The first step to getting your home ready for fall is lighting a scented candle! We love this one from Williams-Sonoma, and of course, this Leaves-scented one. // A wool tartan blanket is a tailgating essential. // We embrace everything pumpkin-related in the fall and want to try this Penne with Creamy Pumpkin Sauce recipe from Martha for dinner. // Decorating with gourds makes fall decorating a cinch! // Our favorite fall spirits are Woodchuck Amber Cider & Blue Moon's Harvest Moon. // Don't these slippers look so cozy?! // Trust us when we say, pick some of this Spiced Pecan Pumpkin Mix up and host a brunch, stat! // Fisherman Sweaters are back in a big way this fall and this one won't break the bank. // Lauren made these pumpkin cake donuts when Amber visited and they were delicious!

The Wednesday Wish List // 7.10.13

CRAB EARRINGS // I'm a Cancer and got married in Maryland so crabs are my jam.  These earrings are super cute, and cheap--only $22, to rock all summer long!

BURL WOOD MIRROR // I've had my eye on this mirror for a while now...I love the lines and material, all I need is a bigger house to put it in! ;-)

WATCH // I desperately need a new watch and I'm in love with this tortoise shell one!

LULULEMON SKIRTS // I just purchased this adorable skirt - such a deal for only $39!!!!  I got it in pizzaz.  I feel like it will be great for running based on the reviews and also super cute for errands with a tee or tank top. Their white version is perfect for the tennis enthusiasts!

HEELS // Just recently made my first purchase from Sole Society and I was very pleased.  I am eyeing these now, they are the perfect heel height!  Can't beat these prices either!!

IKAT RUNNER // This would be perfect for summer entertaining on my outside table.

The Wednesday Wish list // 6.26.13

J.CREW NECKLACE // I love tortoise shell anything, especially in the summer.  This would be an awesome layering piece to dress up or down!

CONVERSE SNEAKERS // I love Converse sneakers and these leopard ones definitely need to be added to my fall wardrobe shopping list.

OSCAR DE LA RENTA EARRINGS // These are on sale and would be perfect to wear to any summer wedding event!

BANANA REPUBLIC DRESS // I love this dress and I love it even more because it is called a patio dress.  I love having my clothes sectioned off like work clothes, evening wear, resort wear -- I think I am adding a category called patio wear which will be a collection of breezy summer dresses perfect for the warm months of cookouts and back porch happy hours.

KENDRA SCOTT RING // I cannot believe that this ring is on sale for $24.97 - when things are 50% off I lose all financial rationality!

IPHONE CASE // I love changing out my iPhone cover, but unfortunately I still have the 4S and so my options are becoming limited however, I do love this case.
